Testing the grounds for Dilatation in Zeewolde

Ten brave Fine Art students from KABK in The Hague faced the wind, the rain and the long train and bus trip to work on the site of Richard Serra's Sea Level in Zeewolde. Maria Pask is a teacher there, and has incorporated the Land Art Live project in her lessons.

Students learned about phenomenology, Gestalt and materiality - methods that Richard Serra was influenced by in his work. They started off by testing the choreography for the performance on June 19th, 2016, moving between the 18 concrete parts of the scultpture, and timing those movements.
